Leah's Bio
Leah currently works as the Legal Services Coordinator at Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates, having previously worked at Bethany Christian Services. She moved back to the U.S. after living in Thailand for a year teaching first grade language immersion.
Leah graduated from Hope College with degrees in Global Studies and Spanish. With experience in Middle Eastern and Central American refugee crises, she has a passion for showing her local community how they can get involved in aiding humanitarian conflicts around the globe. Leah writes full time on her website layoverswithleah.com, where she chronicles her own travels, discusses travel ethics, and comments on both global and local humanitarian and social movements.
Outside of work, Leah loves to travel, consume copious amounts of Indian food, maintain her Duolingo streak, and read books on world history.
